College student sexually assaulted at gunpoint in Clayton
CLAYTON, Mo. (KMOX) - Police in Clayton are investigating the alleged sexual assault of a woman early Monday.
It happened around 12:30 am in the 7400 block of Byron in Clayton as the 23-year-old college student was getting out of her car.
A man approached her, displayed a dark-colored semi-automatic handgun, and robbed the victim.
He then sexually assaulted the woman, according to a police report.
The suspect’s described as a black male between 25-30 years of age, 5’6″ to 5’7″, 140 pounds.
He was wearing a dark blue or black tee shirt, dark blue jeans, and was carrying a black backpack.
The man was also wearing a black baseball cap turned backwards with the letters “SLU” on it.
Police say the description is similar to that of a man who’s committed at least three similar crimes in recent weeks, including one Saturday night on Big Bend in University City.
