Three killed on Missouri waterways Labor Day weekend

ST. LOUIS –(KMOX)– It’s been a deadly holiday weekend at the Lake of the Ozarks.
Two young men drowned at separate locations and a young woman was crushed after falling off a boat as it approached a dock.
The drownings took the lives of a 24-year old Raytown man, and an 18-year old from Holden, Missouri. Killed in the boating accident was a 26-year old woman from Lee’s Summit.
None of the victims was wearing a life jacket, the patrol said.
Also this weekend, the patrol reports seven boating injuries and 27 arrests for boating while intoxicated.
Water Patrol spokesman Sgt. Jerry Callahan noted that for the past two Labor Day weekends in Missouri there were no water-related deaths.
