Mizzou’s Future Big 12 Schedule Set

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) — The Missouri Tigers now have their future conference schedule decided as the Big 12 Conference will be reduced to ten teams beginning in 2011. With the departure of Nebraska and Colorado, each team in the Big 12 will have nine conference games. Since its inception in 1995, there have been just eight conference games per team.
Missouri will now have to play Oklahoma and Texas each season, instead of just having to play one of them. The Tigers will open their 2011 Big 12 schedule with a game at Oklahoma. The Sooners will be the first conference opponent for the Tigers each year.
In odd years, Missouri will host Iowa State, Oklahoma State, Texas, and Texas Tech. For even years, the Tigers host Oklahoma, Kansas State , Texas A&M, and Baylor. They will continue to play Kansas in Kansas City where they alternate home and away.
