ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - One of the items for sale Saturday in the vendors section of the St. Louis Cardinals “Winter Warmup” fan fest was a large, red KMOX /CBS Radio banner.

Tom Knight of Historic Stadium Collectibles says he bought the banner from a man in west St. Louis County, “It hung from the pressbox at Sportsman’s Park. We’ve got some photographic proof to support that.”

Knight’s business partner, Mike Brown of Hillsboro, says the sign turned some heads during the first day of the Winter Warmup, “We get a lot of comments on that banner. It brings back memories to a lot of people in my age bracket.”

Brown & Knight said with Cardinals broadcasts returning to KMOX in 2011, they figured they’d get asked many questions about the history of the sign.
