Charlie Brennan is raising money for St. Louis Arc’s Capable Kids and Families, which provides children (ages 0-6) and families with developmentally appropriate toys and therapeutic equipment free-of-charge.  Some of this equipment can be quite cost-prohibitive.  Capable Kids and Families allows parents to check out items free of charge and keep them as long as they are needed.

Charlie will conduct a live auction during his show with a new item every day for ten days.  The auction starts Monday, November 1st and all proceeds will benefit St. Louis Arc’s Capable Kids and Families program.check out the auction items

Mark Reardon is raising money for the Gateway Area Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.  Tune in to the Mark Reardon Show all week October 18th – 22nd to participate in a special on-air auction.  All proceeds of the auction will benefit the Gateway Area Chapter.

KMOX Cares

Debbie’s been working with Gateway Greening and today’s the day she and Gwenne Hayes-Stewart reported on the results of what was a great month of activity.

Kurt Warner is going to appear on “Dancing with the Stars”.  We covered that along with the Oscars and more when talking with TV Guide’s Matt Roush.

As part of our KMOX Cares campaign, Tom Ackerman organized an event on Saturday, July 31st at the Butler Hill Schnucks.  We collected items to fill more than 700 care packages to send to our troops.  We received the following thank you letter.  Thanks again to everyone who donated!

Attached is a picture of Brad (Sgt. Brad Pickel) with just SOME of the boxes his platoon received from your drive.  He described the reaction to getting all these boxes as a combination of disbelief and jubilation among the men. read the letter
