EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. (AP) — The St. Louis region has an opportunity to “create one of the iconic national parks of America” with revitalization around the Gateway Arch, Interior Secretary Ken Salazar said Friday.

EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. (KMOX) – The U.S. secretaries of transportation and the interior are endorsing a $300 million plan to enhance the Gateway Arch grounds — even though it’s not clear where the financing would come from.
