St. Louis received just a couple inches of snow last night and into this morning. Roads remained relatively safe, but there was enough on the ground to encourage one of the most celebrated of outdoor winter activities.
Children and parents alike took to the hills in the St. Louis area, sleds in hand, to take advantage of the fresh snowfall.

According to the National Weather Service, the snowstorm that moved through the region Monday night into Tuesday morning dropped 1-2 inches of snow in the St. Louis metro area, but up to six inches in Columbia, MO.more

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – The National Weather Service in St. Louis says a “Winter Storm Watch” will go into effect Monday afternoon for numerous counties in mid Missouri, stretching to Pike, Lincoln, and Warren counties to the east.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Delta Air Lines says it’s canceled about 850 flights today, including regional fights, because of the winter storm moving up the East Coast.

Snow moved into the St. Louis area early Christmas Eve morning and is expected to continue falling into the evening.
